Our Havura

Who We Are
In November 1994, our group first got together. Through positive energy we established Northbrook Community Synagogue, now known as AYSH, Adas Yehuda V'Shoshana. This "Havura" (Circle of Friends) has already attracted more than 260 families. We are young, we are old, we are families, we are singles, and we have lots of children. If you want to explore a new spirit with wonderful people, then join us on Shabbat morning at AYSH.

Our Community
We understand the importance of community and live by that credo in everything we do. If we notice someone new on Shabbat morning or at a social event, we introduce ourselves and made that person feel comfortable. When our members have life-cycle events, we are tehre to celebrate or to commiserate. We are an extended family.h.

We look forward to expanding our offering of religious services. We hope that our Havura will be able to support a weeknight schedule of services, regular Friday night services before Shabbat dinner each week, an expanded schedule of youth services, and a learner's Minyan.
